I like beautiful and simple chevron pattern stitch.
How to make the chevron stitch?
It is very easy!
(multiple of 16 sts + 1)
Row 1 (right side): K1 * yo, k6, k3tog, k6, yo, k1; repeat from * across.
Row 2: Purl.

A quick and simple to knit a scarf.
Knit two, purl two across, ending with knit two, purl one.
Repeat this row for pattern.
Row 1: *Knit 2, purl 2; repeat from * to last stitch, knit 1.
Row 2: *Purl 2, knit 2; repeat from * to last stitch, purl 1.
To knitting a scarf:
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until scarf measures 50" (127cm).

Works on multiples of 8 stitches.
Row 1 - (Wrong side): Purl
Row 2: *Slip 2 stitches to cable needle and hold in the back. Knit 2, then knit 2 off the cable needle. Slip 2 stitches to cable needle and hold in front. Knit 2, then knit 2 off the cable needle. Repeat from * across.
Row 4: Knit.
Row 6: *Slip 2 stitches to cable needle and hold in front. Knit 2, then knit 2 off the cable needle. Slip 2 stitches to cable needle and hold in back. Knit 2, then knit 2 off the cable needle. Repeat from * across.
Row 8: Knit.
Repeat these 8 rows for pattern.
It is Classic aran honeycomb stitch

On my needles now I am experimenting with a pattern of mosaic knitting of two colors. This stitch is good for knitting hats or a sweater. With Color B cast on 49 stitches and knit 1 Row. Row 1: (wrong side) With B purl. Rows 2 and 4: With C knit. Rows 3 and 5: With C purl. Row 6: With B knit 2, * drop next stitch from needle and unravel 4 Rows down, picking up the B stitch from Row 1 below, insert needle into this stitch and under the 4 loose strands of C and knit catching the 4 loose strands behind stitch, knit 3 * . Repeat between * * until 2 stitches remain, knit 2. Row 7: With B purl. Rows 8 and 10: With C knit. Rows 9 and 11: With C purl. Row 12: With B knit 4, drop next stitch, unravel and knit B stitch from 5th Row below as in Row 6, knit 3 * . Repeat between * * until 1 stitch remains, knit 1. Repeat Rows 1-12 for pattern until piece measures 11” from beginning. Bind off.

A cable pattern with a central panel of 12 sts is worked as follows:
Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7: K2, p8, k2.
Row 2: P2, sl next 2 sts to cn and hold at front, k2, then k2 from cn, sl next 2 sts to cn and hold at back, k2, then k2 from cn, p2.
Rows 4, 6 and 8: P2, k8, p2.
Repeat rows 1-8.
It is Double Cable stitch.
